Five Shoes in One

Completely versatile, budget friendly, and of course stylish. Ok, say maybe not exactly the most fashionable pair of shoes, but they're so cool! Literally five shoes in one, starting from the flats that change into four different heel heights. Designed by Israeli industrial designer, Daniela Bekerman, who has truly thought of a pair(s) of shoes that are perfect for space saving and money saving.

Rocker With Style: Karen O

Oh it's love, well sort of. I'm torn on the style of Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O. Edgy, funky, and way crazier then Lady Gaga while in a more wearable manner. What do you think of this rocker with style?

One Sweet Drink: Cake Batter Martini

Found this martini recipe on How Sweet It Is, and just had to share it. Personally I just love to look at the pictures so that's what caught my eye first. But, I also like a fun and sweet drink so here it is:

makes a single serving, is easily multiplied
1 ounce amaretto
1 1/2 ounces Pinnacle whipped cream vodka
1 1/2 ounces creme de cacao
1/2 ounce Godiva white chocolate liqueur
1 ounce heavy cream
assorted sprinkles (nonpareils work best)
frosting
Using your finger, coat the rim of your glass with frosting – make sure not to miss any spots! Dump sprinkles on a plate and press glass rim into sprinkles, pressing to adhere. Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for about 30 seconds. Strain into glass and drink!

Side note: like any drink with a frosted sugary rim, your mouth may fall victim to some funny coloring, but totally worth it.

Sequins Street Art

Because I love everything glitter and sequins, I had to share this sequins street art in Iceland by Theresa Himmer. A perfect mixture or street art with a little glitz and glam.

Watercolor Silhouettes

Swedish fashion illustrator Amelie Hegardt creates compelling, unique and powerful works of fashion on canvas with watercolor. Seriously beautiful in my opinion.

Thinking Pink

I am getting ready to move into a new condo is just a few weeks and can't stop thinking about what color I want to paint my new room. Lately I have been feeling the color pink, especially since I feel like this is probably the last time I can get away with a girly pink room. Anyways, as I have currently been inspired by pink, I have searched the web looking for further ideas and inspirations. So here are just a few (extremely random) things I have found to help myself think pink. Enjoy!

Famous Faces Notebooks

Love these "Famous Faces" notebooks found on TopShop...I especially love the Audrey Hepburn cat.

Colorful Oswald Sofa

Who said all couches have to be one color and boring. Well not any more. I'm currently in love with this Oswald sofa. I just don't know how I would decorate the rest of the room.

Hair Feathers Into Earings

If you're like me, you recently fell into the craze of hair feather extensions. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about, they are skinny and often colorful pheasant feathers pinned into your hair. I personally had two, both were shades of purple and one a had a yellow feather. When in your hair, you can wash them, style them, and basically do whatever to them without worry. After having mine for about two month I decided to take them out leaving me with a few feather that I still found pretty. As I tried to figure what else I could do with them, I decided to make earrings out of them. Warning: they do not match, but I kinda like that. In fact, I mostly only wear one at a time, with a stud or hoop in the other ear. Anyways, here's what I did:

What you will need:
Your feathers obviously (bundle however many you want on each earring)
Super glue
Jewelry connector clamps (they look like these)
Earrings
Pliers

What to do:
It is best to glue the tip of the feathers with your super glue. The slightest dab of glue will work. As the the glue is still tacky, place the tips of your feathers in/on your connector clams. Take your pliers and clamp shut the connectors. Make sure to close it tightly so the feather don't fall out. In case any glue seeps out, make sure to wait until it is thoroughly dry before hooking the earring onto the clamped feathers.

Extra:
I thought about, but obviously did not do, but another cute addition to the feathers would be to add a long skinny chain to add more texture or shine.

Yellow Nail Polish

Not too long ago I hassled my sister for buying yellow nail polish. Well, two months later I bit the bullet and bought some yellow polish (although I haven't told my sister yet). Anyways, I just finished painting my nails and I'm not fully convinced, although I do like it on other people. Take a look.
